Idio Keyboard is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. This page explains Idio's behavior and the terms of Idio Pro; it does not replace that agreement or restrict rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Your writing stays yours

Idio repairs supported typing errors and never generates replies or completes your next thought. With Idio Pro on supported iPhones, Auto Clean may use Apple's on-device language model after a typing pause for bounded spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation cleanup; Pro Clean Up gives the same proofreader broader deliberate authority over the recent scope you selected. Both are instructed to preserve your wording and tone, validated before application, and exactly undoable. Corrections can be wrong or missed. Review important text yourself, use Backspace or Undo to restore an automatic change, or turn off Smart Correction in Idio → Keyboard → Typing behavior.

Free and Idio Pro

Idio Free includes the full keyboard, immediate correction, exact Undo and Backspace restore, Never Change, every privacy/reset control, passive safe language and touch learning (including separate hand-position/speed evidence), preset themes, emoji search, a basic daily activity view, three Saved Text items and your iPhone-backup choice.

Idio Pro adds the differentiated depth: Auto Clean, Clean Up, personal phrase context, Teach Hands guided practice, Fit Lab, What Changed and typing fingerprint, Typing Patterns, Later Context, longer 7/28-day progress history, Saved Text creation beyond three items, custom colours and Soft/Outline keycaps.

Pro changes what paid features can use or show, not what learning consent means. If Pro ends, learned evidence, Saved Text and stored appearance choices are not deleted.

Idio Pro subscription terms

• Options. Idio Pro Monthly renews every month at $4.99; Idio Pro Annual renews every year at $34.99. Both unlock the same Idio Pro. Prices are in US dollars; Idio and Apple's purchase sheet show the price for your country before you confirm.
• Annual introductory offer. Eligible new U.S. subscribers can receive 7 days free on Idio Pro Annual. Apple determines eligibility. If the trial is available and you do not cancel during it, the annual subscription begins at the price Apple displayed. Monthly has no introductory trial.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel. Open iPhone Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or tap Manage subscription in Idio → Settings → Idio Pro. Apple's cancellation instructions explain the current steps. If you cancel, Idio Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Billing and refunds. Apple handles purchases, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own terms. Idio cannot see your payment details or issue refunds; request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Restore. Use Restore purchases in Idio → Settings → Idio Pro, signed in with the Apple Account that bought the subscription. Pending or unverified purchases do not unlock Idio Pro.

Offline use and when Pro ends

After Apple verifies your subscription, Idio keeps a small cache of that verification on your device. It is never included in iPhone backups. The keyboard never contacts Apple: Idio Pro uses the subscription period Apple last verified, and never runs past the end of that paid period or Apple's billing grace period. Opening Idio refreshes your subscription status, including renewals, cancellations and refunds.

When Idio Pro ends, Idio goes back to its free features. Nothing Idio learned is deleted, and the Free keyboard, immediate correction, Undo, Never Change and every privacy/reset control keep working. Auto Clean, Clean Up, guided tuning, deeper insights and advanced customization pause. Resetting or deleting data in Idio does not cancel a subscription; manage it with Apple.

Privacy and support

Keyboard processing stays on your device, and the keyboard makes no network requests. Apple billing, Cloudflare website delivery and support email are separate services. Changes to these terms

We will update this page and its date when these terms change. Changes to an existing subscription's price or renewal are handled through Apple.
