idio.
A more personal keyboard

Your words.
Your rhythm.
Your keyboard.

You have a way with words. Idio is being built to understand the way you type them—not to write them for you.

SOUND FAMILIAR? SOUND LIKE YOU.

YOUR NEXT THOUGHT IS STILL YOURS.

A different starting point

Understand the typing.
Respect the person.

A keyboard should help you say what you meant. Not decide what you should say.

01 /

Familiar from the first tap.

A straightforward English QWERTY layout. Shift, Caps Lock, numbers and symbols. No chat window or prediction bar competing for your attention.

02 /

Personal is the point.

Your slang and abbreviations aren't automatically mistakes. Idio's research explores personal language and touch patterns, with controls to inspect and clear the data.

03 /

Local, by design.

Keyboard processing happens on your device. No accounts, advertising or cloud keyboard inference. Ordinary typing works without Full Access.

Not another writing assistant

A keyboard.
Not your ghostwriter.

If you're looking for AI-generated replies or a button to change your tone, that's not Idio. Our focus is narrower: the gap between the keys you hit and the words you meant.

  • Preserve your voice, not polish it away.
  • Study your typing, not predict your next thought.
  • Keep keyboard processing on your device.

Personalized correction is still being validated. We won't promise speed or accuracy gains before measuring them.

Good questions

A little more clarity.

Can I download Idio today?

Idio is currently in private TestFlight testing. The public App Store release is not available yet. This page will link directly to the App Store when it is.

Does Idio write or finish my messages?

No. There are no generated replies, next-word predictions, tone rewrites or sentence completions. The current beta is a manual keyboard with separate, opt-in on-device research tools. Live Smart Correction is being prepared and validated, not advertised as available in that beta.

Do I need to enable Full Access?

No. Typing and keyboard-private research capture work without it. Optional Full Access allows retained research data to be shared with the Idio app on the same device. iOS grants broader permissions, but Idio doesn't use network or cloud services. Read the details.

What does “learn how you type” mean right now?

Opt-in research can study where you tap and explicitly supplied language feedback. Everyday typing with research off does not silently build a profile. These tools are research—not evidence of proven real-world improvements.

Will it work everywhere on my iPhone?

Idio works in supported text fields on iPhone and iPad. iOS uses its own keyboard for passwords and some other restricted fields. Individual apps can also disallow third-party keyboards.

A little more you.
A little less in the way.
